Recit et Toccata 2011

I have composed this piece for the Hungarian clarinet virtuoso Csaba Klenyán in 2011. The  piece has two movement, a slower, free récit, and a fast, virtuosic toccata. The first performance took place in 2012 at the Fészek Klub in Budapest, Hungary by Csaba Klenyán clarinet, and Péter Kiss, piano. The piece is part of two chamber compositions in which I  pay homage to Pierre Boulez. The clarinet has 18 harmonics on which the harmonic language of the first movement based.
